On May 11, 2023, the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) is expected to expire. Social Security Act Section 1135 emergency waivers for health care providers will terminate or be modified at this time. CMS terminated many of the 1135 Emergency Waivers for LTC in April 2022 (QSO-22-15-NH & NLTC & LSC).
