In a communication to Congress, the Biden Administration has announced its intention to allow the COVID-19 National and Public Health Emergency (PHE) declarations to expire on May 11, 2023. This wind-down aligns with the Administration’s previous commitments to give at least 60 days’ notice prior to termination of the PHE.
