New Updates to CDC’s Return to Work Criteria for Healthcare Personnel with COVID-19

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recently made additional updates to its interim return to work criteria for healthcare personnel (HCP) with SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Updates (as of August 10, 2020) to the interim guidance include:
- For health care personnel (HCP) with severe to critical illness or who are severely immunocompromised, the recommended duration for work exclusion was changed to at least 10 days and up to 20 days after symptom onset.
