The National Quality Forum (NQF) is seeking public comment as the organization works to update their Serious Reportable Events (SRE) list. The NQF SRE list was first published in 2002, the most recent update occurred in 2011.

According to NQF, “The SRE list is used across the nation by many states and healthcare systems as a tool to increase accountability for the prevention and mitigation of serious harm.”
