DNV Clarifies Requirements for Patient Diets

DNV Healthcare recently issued an update to their accreditation requirements and surveyor interpretive guidelines for hospitals.  Included with the updates are clarifications for patient diets.

Dietary Services 2 (DS.2) requires that accredited hospitals ensure that all patients have a basic nutritional screening, and, if indicated, a more in-depth nutritional assessment by a registered dietitian.  DNV has enhanced the interpretive guidelines for this requirement.
