The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has published a new memorandum with two EMTALA pre-survey reminders and references for use by state survey agencies. The resources are intended to enhance understanding of frequent EMTALA survey topics and highlight applicable parts of the State Operations Manual.
