The Joint Commission issued revisions to elements of performance (EPs) for critical access hospitals, effective June 1, 2023. The goal of the revisions is to better align TJC standards with U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Conditions of Participation.
Included with the revisions are changes to elements of performance for RI.01.07.01, which requires the Critical Access Hospital (CAH) to ensure that the patient/family has the right to have any complaints reviewed by the CAH. The…
