The Joint Commission (TJC) has announced a revision to standard MS.06.01.05, EP 7, effective August 27, 2023. This standard requires hospitals and critical access hospitals to ensure that the decision to approve, renew or deny a practitioner’s privileges to provide care, treatment and services be evidenced-based and objective.
