TJC Announces New Mandatory Performance Measures for Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification Performance

The Joint Commission (TJC) recently announced that, effective January 1, 2020, data collection on five new inpatient performance meansures is going to be mandatory for currently certified Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification programs as well as for those organizations seeking initial certification.

The five new performance measures address:

  • High-Intensity Statin Prescribed at Discharge
  • Aldosterone Antagonist Prescribed at Discharge
  • Beta-Blocker Therapy (i.e., Bisoprolol, Carvedilol, or Sustain
