The Joint Commission (TJC) has announced a new and revised Emergency Management chapter for their home care accreditation program. The new chapter is effective July 1, 2023.
TJC reports that the agency completed an analysis and rewrite of the EM home care chapter. Changes include:
- Reorganization of requirements
- Renumbering of standards
- 30% reduction in the number of elements of performance (EPs)
