The Joint Commission recently released two revisions to standards related to medication titration orders.

  • For Ambulatory Health Care, Critical Access Hospital and Hospital accreditation programs, TJC has added clarifying notes to RC.02.01.01, EP 2 that is effective September 13, 2020. The notes clarify that when there is a need for rapid titration of medication, block charting may be acceptable form of documentation.
