The Joint Commission (TJC) has announced the approval of 81 new requirements for Joint Commission–accredited behavioral health and human services organizations that select the certified community behavioral health clinic (CCBHC) service on their application. The new requirements will be effective as of July 1, 2023. The new requirements align with the current Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) criteria for CCBHCs.
