Joint Commission Announces Revised Requirements for Medication Compounding for Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals, Effective January 1, 2024

The Joint Commission (TJC) has announced revisions to medication compounding standards for their Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals accreditation programs. According to TJC, the changes are intended to better align TJC’s requirements with U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidance and requirements.
