In October 2023, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommended that people 18 years and older who are at risk or potential risk for mpox receive two doses of the JYNNEOS vaccine 28 days apart. The vaccine is safe and effective in preventing or minimizing the severity of mpox.
